Education

Born in Istanbul in 1992, Çağrı Akyol Çevirir attended Saint Michel Private French High School from 2006 to 2011 and went on to earn a psychology degree from Université Lumière Lyon 2 in 2016. The undergraduate years began with an internship at the neuropsychology clinic Villeurbanne Cabinet de Neuropsychologie and included many research projects and social responsibility initiatives.

The first year of graduate study, in Clinical Psychoanalytic Psychopathology, was completed at Université Lumière Lyon 2 in 2017–2018 with a thesis on melancholia entitled “Impossible Separation.” During 2017–2018 the psychologist also worked as an intern at Clinique Notre-Dame, ORSAC, a private psychiatric clinic in Lyon, France.

The second year of the master’s degree followed at Üsküdar University in the Clinical Psychology track, with a thesis on how social anxiety and avoidance behaviours relate to sociodemographic characteristics. The accompanying clinical internship at NPİSTANBUL Hospital involved family consultations and patient orientation during mental status examinations on the adolescent and adult ward.

Career

In 2019 Çağrı Akyol Çevirir joined the Zİ&ON Psychiatry Academy as a clinical psychologist, providing psychotherapy to patients, carrying out case analyses and building further clinical experience.
