This policy explains which cookies this website (www.npistanbulinternational.com) uses, what they do and how you can control them. It applies together with our Privacy notice.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for the site to work; others are used, with your permission, to understand how the site is used. Similar technologies, such as browser storage, are covered by this policy as well.

The cookies we use

Necessary cookies

These are required for the site to work and for your choices to be remembered. They cannot be switched off. They do not identify you to anyone outside the hospital and are not used for advertising.

• npistanbul-international-session: keeps your session while you fill in a form or a psychological test. Deleted when you close your browser or after 2 hours of inactivity.
• XSRF-TOKEN: protects the forms on the site against forged requests. Deleted when you close your browser or after 2 hours of inactivity.
• cookie_consent (with a copy in your browser's local storage): records the choice you make in the cookie notice, so it is not shown again. Kept for 12 months.

Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

With your permission we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google LLC, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to see how many people visit the site, which pages and languages they use and how they reach us. We use this to improve the site. Google Analytics does not record your full IP address, and the data is not linked to the medical information you send us. Google may process this data on servers outside Türkiye, including in the United States, on the basis of your consent. Google Tag Manager itself sets no cookies.

• _ga: tells visitors apart with a random identifier. Kept for 2 years.
• _ga_*: keeps the state of a visit (the session). Kept for 2 years.

These cookies are not set unless you choose "Accept all" or turn on analytics in the cookie settings. If you choose "Only necessary", no Google code is loaded at all.

Marketing cookies (only with your consent)

We do not use marketing or advertising cookies at the moment. If measurement for Google Ads is added through Google Tag Manager, it will run only if you allow marketing cookies in the cookie settings, and the cookies it uses will be listed here first.

Third-party content

Videos and fonts on this site are served from our own servers, and the site does not embed content from other services, so no third-party cookies are set. If this changes, this policy will be updated first.

Changing your choice

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time: open the cookie settings (also linked at the bottom of every page), or delete the cookies in your browser, after which the notice is shown again. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, but it may need to ask you some things again.

Legal basis

Necessary cookies are used because the site cannot work without them (Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, Article 5(2), and, for visitors in the European Economic Area, Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR). Analytics cookies are used only with your explicit consent (Article 5(1) of Law No. 6698 and Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR), which you give in the cookie notice.
