About

Elvin Akı Konuk was born in Samsun in 1987. She received her psychology degree from Maltepe University in 2009 and her master's in Clinical Psychology from Üsküdar University in 2018. In 2012 the Ministry of Health granted her the "Certificate of Authorization in Medical Applications of Psychology," a professional certification.

Experience

Her internships were at the Center for the Investigation of Forensic Cases, the Ekol Psychological Counseling Center and NPİSTANBUL Hospital. After her bachelor's degree she worked at a private school with preschool and primary-age children and their parents, and from 2011 to 2014 she was a psychologist at Pendik Şifa Hospital. In 2014 she joined Üstün Dökmen Küçük Şeyler Preschool as a psychologist. Between 2016 and 2019 she was Guidance and Psychological Counseling (PDR)/Psychologist Coordinator at Üstün Dökmen Academy, while also offering psychotherapy and specialist training for children and adolescents at "Psikoloji Dünyası."

Ms. Akı Konuk has been involved in social responsibility work as a clinical psychologist in the Turkish Bar Association's "Tree of Life" Project for Combating Addiction, and she has taken part in EU projects in Poland and France. She contributed to the publication of the SAMBART programs developed by Prof. Dr. Kültegin Ögel and spoke on a panel at the 9th National Congress on Alcohol and Substance Abuse.

Work with children and families

She has completed "Child-Centered Play Therapy" training and supervision approved by the Association for Play Therapy (APT). With children, adolescents and families she uses methods including Filial Therapy and the PASS Cognitive Intervention Program. She is a Child and Adolescent Psychologist at NPİSTANBUL Hospital.
