Clin. Psych. Sedef Koç Bal

Clinical psychologist Sedef Koç Bal has been part of the team at the AMATEM addiction treatment clinic of NPİSTANBUL Hospital since February 2019.

Education

She studied psychology at Okan University with a double major in Public Relations and Advertising, finishing in 2014 with honours and high honours. In 2016 she obtained a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Üsküdar University, again graduating with high honours.

Her clinical internships, all completed successfully, took place at Okan Educational Institutions and at two NPİSTANBUL units: the Feneryolu Outpatient Clinic and the AMATEM Clinic.

Research

Her master’s research, “Comorbidity of Compulsive Buying Among Patients Seeking Treatment at a University Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic,” was delivered as an oral presentation at the 10th National Congress on Alcohol and Addiction. She has continued her academic work since graduating, publishing in national and international peer-reviewed journals and keeping her knowledge current through congresses and research projects.
