About
Asst. Prof. Dr. Mert Sinan Bingöl has been a specialist psychiatrist at NPİSTANBUL Brain Hospital since September 2023. He also gives seminars and talks, with a particular emphasis on relationship problems, anger management and stress management.
Education and career
Born in Izmir in 1984, he finished Iğdır Anatolian High School in 2003 and graduated from Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine in 2011. After practising as a family physician in Istanbul from 2012 to 2017, he specialised in psychiatry at the Department of Psychiatry of Akdeniz University Hospital between 2017 and 2021. His specialty thesis was entitled “A Comparison of the Relationship Between Childhood Traumas and Attitudes Toward Love, Relationship Satisfaction, and Sexual Function Between Patients with Euthymic Depression and Healthy Volunteers.” He then completed his compulsory state service as a specialist at Hakkari State Hospital in 2022–2023.
