About
Asst. Prof. Dr. Nihal Taştekin was born in İzmir in 1989. She finished Maltepe Kadir Has Anatolian High School in 2007 and qualified as a medical doctor at Pamukkale University Faculty of Medicine in 2013.
She trained in psychiatry at Istanbul Erenköy Mental and Nervous Diseases Training and Research Hospital (Erenköy Ruh ve Sinir Hastalıkları Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi), completing her residency in 2020. Her board-certification thesis was titled “Clinical and Cognitive Effects of Computer-Assisted Cognitive Rehabilitation in Individuals with Opioid Use Disorder”.
Between October 2020 and June 2022 she carried out her compulsory state service at the Bolu İzzet Baysal Mental Health and Psychiatric Hospital. From April 2021 until June 2022 she was responsible for outpatient and inpatient care at its AMATEM (alcohol and substance addiction treatment) clinic.
In June 2022 she joined the AMATEM Clinic at NPİSTANBUL Hospital, where she continues to work.
