Narcissism Second-Opinion Test
- 24 questions
- About 5 minutes
- For adults
These tests are for screening. A result is not a diagnosis: only a psychiatrist or psychologist can make one, after talking with you.
Your answers are scored on this device and never sent. Only your result is saved, with the email address you confirm.
Confirm your email address
Before the test we send a 6-digit code to your email address. Your result is saved with it, so that our team can help you if you wish. The email with the code contains no health information.
Read each statement with the person you want to assess in mind, and mark how often it applies to them.
Choosing an answer takes you to the next question. You can go back at any time.
Your result
No marked narcissistic traits
Your answers suggest that narcissistic traits are not prominent in the person you rated. If there are still issues you find difficult in the relationship, talking about them openly or getting support from a professional may help.
Some narcissistic traits
Your answers suggest that some narcissistic traits are partly noticeable in the person you rated. At this level a good relationship is often possible with open and respectful communication. If the relationship starts to wear you down, a psychologist can help you find a way forward.
Marked narcissistic traits
Your answers suggest that narcissistic traits are prominent in the person you rated. In such a relationship it is important to protect your boundaries clearly, explaining your reasons, and to look after your own well-being; we suggest getting support from a psychiatrist or psychologist. A personality disorder can only be diagnosed when the person themselves is assessed by a specialist.

Take your result as a rough guide, not a diagnosis. How you feel over time, and a conversation with a specialist, tell much more than a questionnaire.
Talk it through with a specialist
If your result worries you, or you would like to talk it through, our psychiatrists can review it with you, free and without obligation.

About this test
Narcissism is a personality trait marked by a constant sense of being superior to others, a need to be admired, a lack of empathy and too much weight placed on success and power; not everyone with these traits has a personality disorder. In this test you rate someone you know, such as your partner, a relative or a colleague. It has 24 items and takes about 5 minutes. The result sums up your observations; it does not diagnose the other person.
