Dr. Gunay Hajiyeva graduated in medicine from Azerbaijan Medical University in 2013 and completed her psychiatry residency at Çukurova University Balcalı Hospital in 2021.
Her training spans a number of therapeutic methods, among them cognitive behavioural therapy, EMDR and dynamic sex therapy. Her areas of specialisation include schizophrenia, mood disorders, trauma, anxiety, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, alcohol and substance dependence, and sexual dysfunction.
Active in both clinical practice and academic work, Dr. Hajiyeva has given presentations at national and international conferences. She speaks English, Russian and German.
